I didn’t write yesterday, I had stuff to take care of at home. Dave is still in the hospital, and we had a pretty chill day yesterday (I am starting to act like this is the new norm). He has been on clear liquids and on some really good drugs, it has helped the pain a lot. My mom is there today sitting with him…. Happy Birthday Mom!!!!! Today they started him on a hard liquid diet. He had some pudding, cream of wheat, coffee with cream and sugar…. you know the essentials. He quit taking the pain medication, so he had a rough night. They finally gave him anxiety medication at 5 am and he slept until 9 am. His labs for today look good, so chemo is expected to start again tomorrow. He stays in hospital for all his chemo and will be there 5-7 days after chemo so they can monitor all his vital signs, labs etc. to make sure everything is good. Like I have stated he is on an extreme chemo regimen, they are going to kill this stuff, so they are hitting it with everything they have. I’m okay with that, I just want him healthy again. We got the biopsy back from the two tumors they removed. One was completely contained and the other one was spreading, that is why they keep putting chemo in his spine, that is where this tumor would spread to his spine and brain. So far there has been no cancer cells in the spinal fluid…. a very good thing, and the chemo they insert in his spine circulates in his brain. Okay, I will update tomorrow when they start giving him all these toxic chemicals – I know it’s the way to cure the cancer, but what it does to your body in that process is horrendous.
