Sooo. We’re back at it again, I mean we are back at the hospital again 🤦‍♀️. Dave wasn’t feeling well last night and today, he has an extremely sharp stabbing pain on the lower right side, so we called the team at Huntsman and they said go to the emergency room, off we went. They took Dave in for a CT scan and it revealed he has an infection in his intestine close to his colon. Because he is on chemo, he has no white blood cells to help fight this off. They started IV antibiotics and morphine, even with morphine he was still in pain. They decided he needed to stay and moved him over to Huntsman. He was suppose to be readmited on Thursday, but I bet he stays in from now until he is done with this next round of chemo. It suck’s but he is in the best place. The cutest and saddest thing from the last couple of days is “his” cat, Meanie Head. She knows he doesn’t feel good and she will sit outside his bedroom door and just cry for him to let her in. Dave is supposed to be careful around the cats because of toxoplasma, so we don’t let her in. But every time he gets up to use the restroom she is sitting on the counter waiting to give him as much love as possible, she bumps heads, rubs his neck, it is so adorable, she truly loves him and is so worried. Tonight when I came home she ran to the bedroom door thinking he was in there – I felt bad for her. I’m exhausted, so I’m going to bed 😻
